Science Workshop March 2026
We were delighted to welcome a fantastic whole-school science workshop this week, kindly funded by our PTA. The session was highly engaging from start to finish, with activities carefully tailored to suit all age groups across the school.
The workshop leader brought science to life through clear explanations and hands-on demonstrations, making complex ideas accessible and exciting for every child. Many pupils were invited to take part as helpers—an opportunity they absolutely loved and will remember for a long time.
Highlights included the fascinating “disappearing water” experiment, creating a human electrical circuit (even discovering how a banana can conduct electricity to help light up the circuit!), and exploring kinetic energy using a basketball and tennis ball. The session ended with a spectacular bubble demonstration, where a giant hoop created a shimmering bubble around participants—much to everyone’s delight.
The children were so engaged that many wished the workshop could have gone on even longer! The combination of interactive activities and short, well-paced bursts of learning ensured that all pupils remained focused and enthusiastic throughout.
A huge thank you to our PTA for organising and funding such a memorable event. It was a wonderful experience that inspired curiosity, excitement, and a love of science in all our children. We would absolutely welcome this workshop back again in the future!
